Warm Isostatic Press

 

WIP는 냉간정수압 프레스와 같은 원리를 이용하며, 단지 온도가 사용된다는 것이 다릅니다.
통상 온도는 100℃이내에서 사용되며, 용도에 따라 압력용기 내부의 압력매체를 OIL을 사용할 경우 120℃까지 사용하기도 합니다. 특.장점은 CIP와 같으며, 주로 반도체 관련 부품의 제조에 사용됩니다.

 

Isostatic Presses use a pressure vessel chamber to compact a powder or material placed in a sealed tooling, bag, or other container. Cold isostatic presses (CIP) use an oil-water mixture pressurized up to 100,000 psi (7,000 bar). Hot Isostatic Presses (HIP) use an argon atmosphere or other gas mixtures heated up to 2100º C (3800º F) and pressurized up to 60,000 psi. Warm Isostatic Presses (WIP) use an oil-water mixture that is heated up to 650º C (1200º F) and pressurized up to 100,000 psi.

 - With further provision to heat the load and pressurizing fluid, normally used for products requiring a chemical reaction during the phase of compaction
- Temperatures typical between 50°C  and 100°C
